ChatHaiku is a chat interface for the small language models built by Rootcomputer. These pages cover everything the interface does — from picking a model to what happens to your conversations.

You do not need an account. Open chathaiku.com/chat, type in the box at the bottom, and press Enter. Everything else on this site is optional detail.
Two things are worth knowing before you begin. First, these are small language models — between 217 million and 1.5 billion parameters, against the hundreds of billions in a frontier system. They are fast and they run on modest hardware, and in exchange they are more likely to get things wrong. Verify anything that matters.
Second, your conversations are stored in your browser, not on a server. That means they are private to your device by default, and it also means clearing your browser data deletes them permanently. See Your data and privacy for the full picture.

Getting in touch
Email business@rootcomputer.dev with questions, problems, or anything this site does not answer. To report a bad reply, the thumbs-down button inside the chat is the more useful route — it feeds directly into training.
Service status
Models run on Rootcomputer's own hardware and are occasionally offline for training or maintenance. The status page shows live health for every model, thirty days of uptime history, and any current incidents.
